I started this newsletter to document two journeys:
1. the building of The Garage Gym as a business
2. my personal journey pursuing 100%
We believe there’s a 100% version of you inside of you, desperate to get out… so the goal of this newsletter is to document our journey towards 100% - and to encourage you to pursue yours.
If you received this by mistake or no longer wish to follow along, unsubscribe at the bottom.

THE GARAGE GYM - JUNE 2026
EVENT RECAP(S) 🇺🇸
Memorial Day Weekend we always throw a huge event in honor of Memorial Day and this year we challenged ourselves to go bigger, get more people to attend, and raise more money.
Our own, Ron Worobel, who leads our group to start MURPH each year.
Down in Little Silver we had over 100 good people come out to honor the day and help us donate $4,800 to the Alpha Wave Project and Navy SEAL Foundation.
We partnered with Eat Clean Bro to grill all morning, hired our very first face painter who worked tirelessly to paint all the USA flags, butterflies, and requests of the kiddos, and partnered with a number of local businesses to give away free product.

Thanks, Chef Todd !
Most importantly, we honored those who gave all.
My friend and guest of honor, Kyle Rodgers, kicked off the day with a few words on why we have Memorial Day. Please consider giving it a listen below:
Up in Westfield we tagged in for year 13 of Greta’s Run in support of Imagine.
At Mile 2.66 you could see the official Garage Gym Cheer Team (me with a megaphone, my fiancé, and dog) the entire run.
Cheering everyone on from the first place winner to the walkers and strollers in the back.
Thank you to the Greta’s Run organization for allowing us to get involved and always putting on such a special day.
Something to look forward to in 12 days…
BRO Mountain 🏔️
Every June The Garage Gym partners w/ Eat Clean Bro to host 100 people at BRO Mountain.
It’s basically a 5k up and down what feels like a mountain (but is really Jamie & Kayla’s driveway).
With a ton of goodies, nice people, food, and music to hang with after.
See a recap of last years event below, and grab 1/100 spots to join HERE if they’re available.
P.S. 100% of your ticket is donated to Children’s Specialized Hospital Foundation.
PURSUING MY 100% - BADWATER 135
If you want to get totally up to speed I encourage you to read the first, second, and third editions to understand Badwater 135 and what my training has been like.
To recap briefly:
-Badwater 135 is a 135 mile footrace through Death Valley, CA in July.
-100 people from around the world get the opportunity to run it each year.
-There is a rigorous application process to get into it.
& I got into the 2026 event !
WEEK 15 TRAINING UPDATE
Yesterday I did 20 miles of hills… this was the workout on repeat:
🔂
-power walk UP
-run DOWN
-run UP
-run DOWN
My watch was dead, so I used Strava on my phone (I never use Strava) to make sure I did all 20, and now I’m something of a Local Legend ? I love Strava.

There’s something beautifully dull about spending 3 hours on the same hill.
If ultra running has taught me anything, it is a patient ability to compartmentalize just about anything.
Week 15 Inbound -

In this training plan I’ve found that the more I train:
-the better I feel
-the more I want to train
Week over week I feel a growing excitement for the training I have on deck and the event next month.
July 24th myself, my fiancé Taylor, mom, and two buddies Mike and Pat will fly to Las Vegas ahead of a 8pm start on Monday night at Badwater Basin, CA.
They’ll follow me in a van along the whole course until we’re done…
sometime on Wednesday.

135 miles w/ temperatures typically between 110-130F and up and over 3 mountains.
I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity, healthy body, and people I have along for the adventure.
62 days out.
THIS MONTH'S THOUGHT
Bring your vision to life.
This past weekend I went to the Bandit Grand Prix event.
It’s a F1 inspired 5k race where they took over the Brooklyn Storehouse (typically a music venue) to convert it to the coolest race I have ever been to.
While the race is epic - I left so inspired by the creation of it.
Prior to last year, Bandit Grand Prix never existed.
It was probably an idea on a piece of paper somewhere… but it was not yet alive.
The Bandit team had a vision, worked and worked and worked, and brought it to life.
I encourage you to sign up and run BGP next year because it’s dope.
***But I also encourage you to see people in the world who bring their visions to life, get inspired by it, and challenge yourself to do the same.
What vision(s) do you want to bring into the world ?
P.S. visions come in all shapes and sizes, lean into what speaks to you and go for it.
PURSUING YOUR 100%
